The Crew

We’re Lauren and Lindsay, two friends who have been through the messy journeys of separation, divorce, court, co-parenting, and parallel parenting. We have more experience with all of this than we wish, but we don’t regret it — and we don’t approach The Moonlight Crew with that mindset either.

We’ve leaned on one another through all these stages — and not just for emotional support, but for real-world advice that has literally and completely changed our lives. One day, over two matcha lattes and a chocolate chip cookie, we decided we couldn’t keep it all to ourselves.

We knew, to our core, the power of our togetherness, and we needed to share it — so we built The Moonlight Crew.

Lauren is a non-profit expert, mom, and a big believer in the power of continuous growth.

She has worked in the non-profit and development industries for 15 years, focusing on change management, business relationships, and mission achievement. She guides agencies through process improvements, efficiency efforts, strategic planning, prospect development, and leadership training.

She believes in spending your time and energy where it makes a difference, and she’s been a board member at multiple non-profits, including her current role at the National Aphasia Association.

She lives with her two kids in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she spends too many hours at the hockey rink and learning new dinosaur facts.

Lindsay is a writer, mom, and lover of libraries and national parks.

She has a decade of experience in the editorial world, working on travel, family, and business content for places like National Geographic, Chicago Parent, Metro Parent, Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University, and the University of Michigan. She believes in the power of storytelling, including the way you tell and shape your own story.

Before all that, she worked as an attorney in Maryland and Washington, D.C., representing children in immigration and foster care cases. Her work was centered on a deep respect for children as complete, important human beings — a value she carries with her as a parent and into Moonlight.

She lives with her two kids and husband in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where they spend lots of time searching for the best snacks, playgrounds, and nature trails. You’ll probably hear them before you see them.
